Community Based Services

Community Based Services are provided by qualified specialists with extensive experience.

Specialists assist individuals 18 years of age and older who have behavioral health challenges that require supportive care in their home and community.

Some examples of behavioral health challenges could be:

  • Difficulty with problem solving, managing stress and money management
  • Coping with daily life challenges
  • Medication compliance

Funding for these services are typically paid through:

  • Medicaid
  • Senior Living Trust Grant
  • County
  • Self-Pay
  • Some private insurance companies

Katie Cook
Community Based Services Supervisor

Education
Katie recieved her education from Iowa Lakes Community College and Buena Vista University.

Job History
Katie has worked in the behavioral health field since 2007.

Hobbies/Areas of Interest
Katie enjoys spending time with her family, playing with her dogs, and watching Hawkeye football! 

Melissa Hoyt
Community Based Specialist

Education
Bachelor of Arts degree in Sociology from Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, CA

Job History
Melissa has been working with individuals in the behavioral health field since 1994. 

Hobbies/Areas of Interest
Melissa helped start a Bible club for the kids in her community.  She loves books made out of paper, live music, and watching television.  She especially enjoys spending time with her family, and finding new recipes to make for them in her slow cooker.

Amber Otto
Community Based Specialist

Education
Amber received her education from Iowa Lakes Community College

Jennifer Pullen-Ingledue
Community Based Services Specialist

Education
Jennifer obtained her Bachelor of Art degree in Psychology and a Bachelor of Art degree in Human Services from Buena Vista University.

Job History
Jennifer has worked in the human services field since 2008, working primarily  with children that have behavioral and special needs as well as the elderly population. 

Hobbies/Areas of Interest
Jennifer enjoys live music, cooking, movies, reading and being outdoors. Most of all, she loves getting together with family and friends, and spending time with children.
