. Callers speak with a professional who will provide support, screen for safety, stabilize the crisis, and provide appropriate referrals.Mobile Crisis Services
Mobile Crisis services are available in Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth, and Sioux counties. The Mobile Crisis Team will be deployed when necessary to provide a face-to-face crisis screening/intervention. Though anyone may call the 24/7 crisis line, mobile crisis services are only available to law enforcement, hospitals, medical clinics, MHDS Regions, Juvenile Court, and Department of Human Services. Additionally, schools can access these services for students. In the event that an individual calls the crisis line and is in need of immediate intervention, mobile crisis staff will work with law enforcement to assure the safety of all involved.
The Mobile Crisis team provides ongoing stabilization services through care coordination for up to 30 days for individuals that have accessed mobile crisis services. The team assists the individual in obtaining outpatient mental health care with their own provider or be linked to a community resource for further assessment and treatment.
Crisis Stabilization Community Based Services
Seasons is an accredited Crisis Stabilization Community Based Services (CSCBS) agency offering services designed to de-escalate a crisis situation and stabilize an individual following a mental health crisis. The goal of this service is to keep an individual in his/her home/community, somewhere that is less intensive and restrictive than an inpatient hospital. Services are provided in-person or virtually and can take place where the individual lives, works or recreates. CSCBS services are available for adults and children in in Buena Vista, Clay, Dickinson, Emmet, Lyon, O’Brien, Osceola, Palo Alto, Plymouth, and Sioux counties. If eligible, CSCBS care will include the following for up to five days:
- In person, hour-long appointments at a location of your choosing to work on skill building
- Daily virtual appointments with a mental health professional
- Development of a written, short-term stabilization plan
- Connection to medication, counseling, and peer support services as well as linkage to ongoing services within the community
