EXPERIENCE Prior to my arrival at Seasons, I have had a few other professional experiences. I had a month-long internship with the Storm Lake Early Head Start, where I was observing and working with the School-Based Teachers there. We worked with parents and their children, who were in the age range of 0-5. I also had an internship at Minnesota Valley Action Council (MVAC) where I was a Youth Services Intern. At MVAC, I worked with the Youth Services team on their summer program called "Get Started". This program taught adolescents who qualified for the program job readiness and life skills over the period of a month. It was all virtual. I was the individual sending out assignments, sending stipends for completion, case-noting, and hold daily zoom sessions with the adolescents. My final semester at BVU was a semester long internship at the Storm Lake Community School District, where I worked with a team of Student and Family Service Facilitators. We worked closely with students across the K-12 grade levels on emotional regulation, positive behavior & skill building, and healthy family functioning. I truly enjoy working with children and families.
ABOUT I enjoy being active, whether that is exercising or playing sports. I have played soccer my whole life and continued to play during my time at BVU and also was a two-year captain of the team. I enjoy all types of music and like to play guitar. My main goal is to help individuals and families in any way I can.
